A Spotlight at the LIFE programme
One of the major highlights of the event was the dedicated session at the European Commission’s LIFE Programme stand. On October 8th, Bruno Mougin and Damien Rasselet from Texinov took the stage to present the LIFE VINOSHIELD project to an international audience of policymakers, industrial leaders, and environmental experts.
Their presentation focused on how textile innovation can provide a “triple win” :
- Climate Adaptation: Protecting crops from extreme weather.
- Pollution Prevention: Significantly reducing the need for chemical treatments in vineyards.
- Circular Economy: Developing sustainable materials and end-of-life recycling solutions for agricultural nets.
Part of a stronger European green ambition
LIFE VINOSHIELD was proud to be among the 6 French-led LIFE projects selected to showcase sustainable, social, and ethical solutions at the exhibition. From waste management to water preservation, these projects demonstrate that European funding is driving tangible action for a greener economy.
Being part of this collective allowed our team to exchange ideas with other innovators working on the Circular Economy and the creation of sustainable regions across the EU. This synergy is vital for ensuring that the viticulture of tomorrow is not only resilient but also fully integrated into a carbon-neutral future.
“Pollutec was the perfect venue to prove that sustainability in viticulture is not just an ambition—it’s an action. Seeing the interest from the broader environmental sector confirms the relevance of our circular approach.”
